Description Da Hong Pao Bio Oolong

Da Hong Pao is a strongly fermented, dark-roasted oolong tea from the Wuyi Mountains of Fujian. It is one of the famous rock teas and is also known as “big red robe”. Legend has it that the Ming Dynasty emperor of the time placed red robes around the tea bushes from which this special blend originated, as a sign of gratitude for his mother's recovery. Visually, this Oolong has a typically open and robust leaf structure. In the mouth, it develops gently with complex and pleasant toasted notes and subtle nuances of cedar wood, cocoa and fruit.
